Construction Management integration
Viewpoint Vista COI compliance integration
Drive Vista's compliance codes from verified certificates, so AP stops paying out-of-compliance subcontractors on its own. Pikorua Security verifies each certificate and endorsement against the subcontract exhibit and updates the date and yes/no codes in SL Compliance and AP Vendor Compliance, which Vista checks when it builds the payment batch.

What Pikorua Security reads from and writes to Viewpoint Vista.
| Field | Direction | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| AP vendors | Viewpoint Vista to Pikorua Security | Vendor group, vendor number and name, matched to Pikorua Security vendors on vendor number. |
| Subcontracts (SL) | Viewpoint Vista to Pikorua Security | Subcontract, job and current amount, used to select the requirement template. |
| SL Compliance codes (date type) | Pikorua Security to Viewpoint Vista | Expiration dates for general liability, auto, umbrella and workers compensation codes, from the verified policy term. |
| SL Compliance codes (yes/no type) | Pikorua Security to Viewpoint Vista | Additional insured, completed operations, primary and non-contributory, waiver of subrogation: set to Yes only when the endorsement is verified. |
| AP Vendor Compliance codes | Pikorua Security to Viewpoint Vista | Same treatment for vendors paid on non-PO/SL invoices, such as equipment rental and service vendors. |
| AP invoice hold code | Viewpoint Vista syncs both ways with Pikorua Security | Optional on cloud Vista: a dedicated COI hold code placed on open invoices for failing vendors and removed on renewal. Pikorua Security never removes holds it did not place. |
| Open AP invoices | Viewpoint Vista to Pikorua Security | Read to show the dollars at stake for each deficiency. |
Trigger events
When the certificate changes, Viewpoint Vista changes with it.
- Hold
Policy expires
Then: The date code passes its expiration. With Verify on and AP Company Parameters set to block, the vendor is left out of the payment batch.
- Hold
Endorsement missing, for example CG 24 04 waiver of subrogation
Then: The matching yes/no code is set to No, so the subcontract is out of compliance even though the dates are current.
- Warn
Policy expiring in 30 days
Then: Dates reconfirmed and the broker receives the day-30 request. The AP Payment Preview with Compliance report shows the warning.
- Release
Renewal verified
Then: Codes updated to the new dates and Yes values, any COI hold code Pikorua Security placed is removed, and the vendor returns to the next payment batch.
Setup
Live in 3 to 5 hours.
5 steps, done by your Viewpoint Vista administrator and a Pikorua Security Admin together. Nothing to install on your servers beyond the file drop you already control.
- 1
Check your hosting
Cloud-hosted Vista on Trimble Construction One connects through the Trimble Vista API with an API key; on-premises Vista uses scheduled file exchange over SFTP.
- 2
Confirm compliance codes
In HQ Compliance Codes, confirm or create the insurance codes and turn on Use This Code to Verify Compliance for each code you want enforced.
- 3
Set AP behavior
In AP Company Parameters, choose whether out-of-compliance vendors are blocked from payment batches or only warned. Pikorua Security follows whichever you choose.
- 4
Map codes to rules
Match each Vista code to a Pikorua Security coverage line or endorsement rule.
- 5
Run a dry pass
Pikorua Security compares verified results with the codes in Vista and lists every difference before it writes anything.
Vista's compliance engine, fed verified data
Viewpoint Vista, now part of Trimble and documented by Trimble as Trimble Vista, has one of the most complete compliance models in construction accounting. Codes are defined in HQ Compliance Codes as yes/no or date codes, assigned in SL Compliance, PO Compliance and AP Vendor Compliance, and enforced only when Use This Code to Verify Compliance is on. AP Company Parameters decide whether an out-of-compliance vendor is kept out of the payment batch or only warned, and the AP Payment Preview with Compliance report shows the result before checks print.
The model is sound. The inputs are the problem: dates keyed from certificates and yes/no codes ticked because a certificate box was ticked. Pikorua Security writes those codes from the endorsement pages, edition dates included, so a CG 20 10 04 13 without a CG 20 37 sets the completed operations code to No.
Cloud and on-premises Vista
For Vista hosted on Trimble Construction One, the connector uses the Trimble Vista API, a two-way REST API with endpoints for AP vendor compliance, invoice holds, vendor holds, SL compliance and subcontracts. Writes land within seconds of a verdict.
For on-premises Vista, Pikorua Security exchanges files over SFTP on a schedule you set, typically nightly plus an on-demand run before each AP payment cycle. The codes and the enforcement are identical; only the delivery differs.
