The team
Where this role sits
Design at Pikorua Security sits inside the product team, next to the engineers who build the interface and the risk engineers who define what every flag means. Our users range from a risk manager reviewing hundreds of vendors to a broker's assistant uploading one endorsement from a phone. You will be the second product designer, sharing the design system with our first and owning major surfaces end to end.
Responsibilities
What you will do
- Design end-to-end flows for risk managers, project managers, accountants and vendors' insurance brokers, from rough sketch to shipped interface.
- Make dense compliance data readable: vendor tables with hundreds of rows, endorsement findings with page and line citations, and hold and release history.
- Own the broker upload experience, used once by people who never asked to use Pikorua Security, often on a phone.
- Maintain and extend the design system in Figma and in code with the front-end engineers.
- Run usability sessions over video with US customers, including jobsite staff and broker certificate desks.
- Write interface copy with the Risk Engineering team so every flag says what is wrong and how to fix it.
Requirements
What you bring
- 4+ years designing B2B products, with a portfolio of complex, data-heavy workflows you shipped.
- Strong interaction and visual design skills, including table density, empty states and error states.
- Fluent with Figma components and variables, and able to read basic React and Tailwind.
- Experience planning, running and synthesizing user research.
- Clear written English.
Nice to have
Bonus points, not requirements
- Experience designing for document-heavy or regulated domains such as insurance, legal, fintech or healthcare.
- Accessibility expertise against WCAG 2.2 AA.
- An eye for motion and micro-interactions used with restraint.
